When I first started doing my own traveling, I always booked all inclusive vacation packages. What I learned over the years was that there are pros and cons to using these packages for a trip. But I am still glad that I did my traveling this way because it encouraged me to go to destinations that I might not otherwise have considered traveling to see.

For example, I once saw that there were some great deals on all inclusive vacations to cuba. I had never really had any particular desire to go to cuba. I didn’t know anything that there was to see or do in cuba. But I wanted to go on a vacation and this all inclusive deal was priced exactly right. I couldn’t pass it up. And it turned out to be one of my most memorable vacations ever.

I don’t always book the all inclusive vacation anymore but I do still use it a lot. And even when I end up booking parts of a trip separately from one another, the travel planning process often still starts out with me looking at vacation packages. It’s how I get the idea about where I want to travel and what I want to see and do during the trip!
