Dog Breath

I have a full grown male Boxer that is probably about five years old. This dog has more energy than any dog I have ever seen. All day long it is just go, go, go. Of course like any dog, those bursts of extreme energy are broken up by dozens of naps throughout the day. And unlike many of the other Boxers I have seen, this isn’t an aggressive or overwhelming kind of energy. In fact his big thing is running in circles.

Anyway, the poor slobbering guy has the worst breath ever. I’m no dummy; I know where to buy discount pet supplies. But I’m about at my wits end with the breath thing. I mean I know the k9 Advantix for dogs works because he doesn’t have fleas. I know that the Advantage flea stuff doesn’t work because he got fleas when he was on that. Well the verdict so far is that nothing works on his breath.

They may advertise that the little treats will stop his bad breath, but they don’t, so I ended up asking my vet. He suggested I brush the dog’s teeth. Have you ever tried to brush a full grown boxer’s teeth? Refer back to the energy part and you will feel my pain.
