Fertility Medications Will Help Me Get Pregnant
Posted by Nextche on 01/31/09 in Health
After learning last fall that my hormones were out of whack, my husband and I sought treatment at a Kansas City fertility treatment clinic. We were so pleased to meet with an infertility specialist, who told us what was involved in the fertility medications that I would have take to conceive. The doctor said I might have to take these drugs for three or four months before we see any success. That’s not a great deal of time, and as you can imagine, we really want them to work fast.
The doctors at the fertility clinic also ruled out genetic disorders that would cause me to be infertile, so that was a relief. If the drugs don’t work, there are surgical alternatives, and of course, there are always the in vitro fertilization techniques. That’s the most expensive route to go, so we hope that it doesn’t come down to that. We want to conceive a baby as soon as we can. We’ve been hoping for a child for a few years, and now that we are in the good hands of specialists, we can’t wait to get started. Having a baby before that biological clock starts ticking is important to us; we want to have a healthy child, and I’m in my mid 30’s now, so we feel we need to start this program soon.
