The Drive to Be Young

Elaine Thermon was tired. It was a long day with the family, but she wasn’t just tired from the day. She was tired of being old. Elaine was active for an 80-year-old, but the stiff bones, aching muscles, and waning energy was impeding on her lifestyle, she felt. As soon as her grandson had shown her how to use the Internet, Elaine did some research on taking human growth hormones and it seemed like a great idea. Still, at her ripe old age, she hated having injections. An oral form of the substance seemed like a blessing. Both Elaine’s family and doctors advised her that there could be side effects of HGH, but to her, the benefits seemed to be worth it.
With a first hand experience on the effects of aging and public attitudes of the elderly, Elaine was fine with taking the chance. She had always lived actively and wanted to continue doing so. If this couldn’t extend her life, then at least she’d feel rejuvenated and capable of doing the things she always loved for as long as she lived. In fact, if Elaine still encountered resistance by her family the next time they visited, she would order the HGH supplements herself and prove to them that they work.
