How to Throw an Affordable Party

party

You are interested in throwing a party but you don’t want to spend a lot of money. Can it be done? Definitely!

Here are some ideas for hosting a party that won’t break your piggy bank:

  • Don’t spend much on invitations. You should send out online invitations to save money. If you feel that you must have printed invitations then skip the quality commercial printing and just go to the local copy shop. Use a black and white copy template to reduce printing costs.
  • Make it a potluck. The biggest thing that people spend money on for parties is food. Make it a potluck and you’ll save a lot of money.
  • Serve one signature drink. You don’t have to stock the entire kitchen with every liquor known to man. Serve a signature drink instead and you’ll save a lot of money on cocktails. Let people know in advance that you’re doing this and that they can BYOB if they want something else.
  • Relax. Most people over-spend for parties because they’re worried about people liking the party. Don’t worry; they will.

The point of a party is to get together with friends and family and to have a good time. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to do that.
