I think it is really cool that a tattoo artist can turn into a fashion icon! Yes, a tattoo artist from the sixties sold all his designs to a clothing manufacturer and now this clothing line sells right up there with price tags matching Juicy Couture. Paying between one to two hundred dollars for one cotton t-shirt is not a surprising figure fact although many of these beautiful shirts are embellished with rhinestones or Swarovski crystals.
Imagine being a Vietnam Veteran and discovering that your niece is wearing a beautiful and colorful t-shirt with art identical to your Gemini tattoos. It would probably be a pretty surprising occurrence but it could happen!
When I first noticed the fashion trend (or should I say boom) showing up in boutiques and main stream high-end stores such as Nordstrom’s department store, I immediately called my stock broker to determine whether or not this was a publically traded company. I wanted in on the spending frenzy. After a bit of research my hopes fell flat because the answer is no, it is not a publically traded company. My hunch was right and the trend has continued. Now you can find tattoo designed clothing, hats, high-end purses, and bathing suits. I probably would have made a mint had I been able to buy in on the action.
