Have you been thinking about going into a traditional career? Perhaps you’re on track to go to law school or you want to get a degree in education? Although these degrees are great, you may find that life is more fulfilling if you pursue a less traditional career path.

Examples of careers that offer good jobs but that you might not have ever thought much about before include:

• Jobs in the golf industry. Did you know that the golf industry is a $75 billion+ industry and that there are more than two million jobs in golf available to people today?
• Innerpreneurship. This is an emerging area of entrepreneurship in which you would pursue the launch of a new business designed to create social change and to provide you with a chance for ongoing personal growth.
• Clowning, circus arts and other silly performance jobs. It’s not easy to make a living in entertainment but if you pursue an area of entertainment that has many different types of jobs within it (from kids’ parties to adult club performances) then you could have a lot of fun with this kind of work.

There’s nothing wrong with planning for a traditional career but now is a great time to consider alternative paths if you’re not sure that your heart is set on the straight and narrow.
